Ibadan Based Philanthropist, Applauds Makinde Over Road Projects
…Says Oyo Gov Has Demonstrated What Good Governance Means
Ibadan based Philanthropist, Dr Kazeem Akande has commended the giant stride of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the commissioning of the 12.5km Challenge – Odo-Ona Elewe – Elebu – Apata dualised road project.
The governor, alongside his Enugu State counterpart, Peter Mba, had officially commissioned a 12.5km Challenge- Odo Ona-Elewe-Elebu-Apata dualized road project under Ido Local Government, Ibadan, the state capital, on Friday.
He said the Governor has displayed his desire to put smiles on the faces of residents of Ido local government through the construction of road project which was started by a former governor of the state, Late Adebayo Alao Akala in 2008, was subsequently abandoned by previous successive governments.
The Philanthropist stated this in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen on Saturday.
According to him the Governor has demonstrated how democracy should be run.
While commending the Governor for doing a good job on the road project, the Philanthropist urged residents of Oyo state to give more support to the governor, in a bid to achieve more developments in the state .
He said” I am deeply excited as a resident of Ido local government, Ibadan and Oyo State in general, this is what governance should be about, it should be about the people .
“Makinde has displayed his desire to put smiles on the faces of residents of Ido local government through the construction of road project which was started by a former governor of the state, Late Adebayo Alao Akala in 2008, was subsequently abandoned by previous successive governments.
“I hereby urge residents of Oyo state to give more support to him in a way to achieve more development in the state”, he concluded.
