Nigeria @64: Despite The Challenges, Let us be Hopeful – Ibarapa Central LG Boss, Hon Sola Adeleke
The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has joined the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde (FNSE), and the residents of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigerians at large, in celebrating the 64th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.
In a statement made available to newsmen through his personal assistant, Sodiq Adesina, Hon. Sola Adeleke acknowledged that while this year’s independence is being marked during one of the most challenging periods in Nigeria’s history, it remains a moment for residents of Ibarapa Central and Nigerians at large to appreciate God Almighty for keeping the country united despite the difficulties.
“Although our independence is being celebrated at a time when the country is passing through some of the most challenging times in its history, we must still appreciate God that Nigeria is still standing as one nation,” Hon. Adeleke said reinstated.
Hon. Adeleke further noted that during his administration’s first 100 days in office, many projects have been executed and he remains eager to do more in the coming days. He expressed deep appreciation to the residents of Ibarapa Central for their unwavering support during this time.
“This is the time for Nigerians to remain committed to charting a more progressive path for a greater tomorrow. We must not despair but instead continue to believe that tomorrow will be better for our country,” he stated.
He emphasized that despite the present difficulties, there are reasons to celebrate the resilience of the Nigerian spirit. He called for unity and collaboration among Nigerians as the nation continues to navigate its challenges, urging citizens to play their part in building a better future.
“Let us all come together, regardless of our differences, to work towards a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria. Our diversity is our strength, and through unity and shared purpose, we can overcome any challenge,” he added.
The Council Boss congratulate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Eng. Seyi Makinde on the country’s 64th anniversary for his visionary leadership and tireless efforts in promoting peace, progress, and development across Oyo State, and pledged his unwavering support in working with the state government to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Ibarapa Central.
Adeleke concluded that the 64th Independence Day celebration serves as a reminder of Nigeria’s journey to nationhood and the continued need for solidarity, growth, and development.
