Akinyele Councillors Suspend Special Assistant for Assaulting Hon Wole Akinleye

 

In line with the constitutional powers to curb indiscipline and also maintain a sustainable environment to promote development in Akinyele Local Government, the Legislative Arm on Thursday 17th, October 2024 in a unanimous decision suspended the Special Assistant on Religious Matters, Adeniji Jamiu Ademola who is also Chief of Staff to immediate past council chairman, Hon Taoreed Jimoh Adedigba, for Assaulting the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye at the Local Government Council, Moniya.

The Akinyele Legislative house led by Hon Rafiu Kolawole KK in their sitting held Yesterday at the Akinyele Local Government secretariat, Moniya acted swiftly on a report sent to the house as regards a special Assistant Assaulting the Executive Chairman.

In his words, the leader of the Akinyele Legislative House, Hon Rafiu Kolawole stated that the Akinyele Legislative house will not tolerate any act of indiscipline or any form of violence that will hamper the peace and development experienced by the Local Government.

He warned anyone planning to carry out mishaps and mischievous activities that will cause uproar in the local government to desist as the Legislative house is committed to the development of the Local Government.

He saluted the Executive Chairman for his calmness and display of maturity in handling the situation. He further described him as a man of peace and integrity.

In a joint Resolution by the Akinyele Local Government Legislative house, The Special Assistant on Religious Matters Adeniji Jamiu Ademola is suspended for six(6) months without any salary or any benefits.

He will cease to function in that capacity until he serves the suspension placed on him by the Akinyele Legislature.

The Leader of the legislative house, Hon Rafiu Kolawole on behalf of the other legislators enjoined all political appointees to abide by the oath of office they swore to and also urged the public and other relevant stakeholders to join hands with the Executive Chairman and his team to continuously achieve success that the masses have enjoyed within the short term that the new Government assumed office.
