Oyo East Council boss, Hon. Oluokun embarks on roads grading across villages
In line with His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to prioritize infrastructure development and community engagement, the Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola has launched a comprehensive road grading across rural areas in the local government.
The grading which started from Kieseni village through to Akoda village, Ward 08 Oyo East, received encomiums from the village heads and the passerby.
The grading of the roads was flagged off by the Vice Chairman and the political head of Oyo South East LCD, Hon. Abdul Wasiu Mustapha (Waspha).
One of the village heads who spoke on behalf of his people, commended Hon Oluokun for his prompt response to the yearning of people living in the rural areas
The Vice-Chairman, while addressing the residents, urged them to cooperate with the workers and provide the necessary support to ensure hitch free of the work embark on.
He then affirmed the Chairman’s unalloyed support for the rural people who are mostly into agriculture, hence the grading of roads will no doubt assist their personal life and also boost their business and promised that no area in the Local Government will be left ungraded.
The entourage of the vice chairman during the inspection of the work include, Secretary to the LG, Hon. Adekola Nurudeen, Leader of the House, Hon. Ajala Yusuf, Super for Works, Hon. Ibraheem Olojule, Chairman House Committee on Works, Hon. Olanrewaju and Hon. Basiru Kehinde, representing Ward 03.
