The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Abuja Liaison Office, Hon Adetola Adedibu has been honoured by the Nigerian Youth Parliament with the Award of Excellence in recognition of her impacts on youth engagement and empowerment.
The Award was presented to her by the president of the Nigerian Youth parliament, Femi Adeyemi who was accompanied by members of the parliament, at a short ceremony held in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Adeyemi described Adetola as a youth who truly has the interest of her fellow youth at heart. He added that she has demonstrated this through her various philanthropic acts.
He added that Adetola is someone who keeps making impacts on other peoples’ life without making a noise about it.
Responding the Governor’s aide, Adetola, thanked the Nigerian Youth Parliament for the award.
She called on other youths to use any given office they occupy to create opportunities for others to thrive. Her words:
“I am calling on my colleagues who are youth that wherever we find ourselves, let see the opportunity to prove ourselves that we are competent to do any assignment so that our leaders and fathers will know that we have come of age and can handle any assignment competently.”
