The Caretaker Chairman Afijio LCDA, Chief Sunday Akindele Ojo has commended Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde over the tenure elongation granted to the chairmen and chairpersons at Local Government and Local Council Development Areas for another six months.
Hon Akindele said the action taken by Governor Makinde shows he is a visionary and pragmatic leader who wants unprecedented developments at the grassroots.
Akindele however assured the Makinde and Afijio West residents not to relent in his efforts to ensure the council area doesn’t suffer neglect as witnessed in the past.
Meanwhile, the Chairman has completed grading of some roads which the council embarked upon last Monday and was concluded on Friday.
The roads include: Idi Igba Central Mosque road, Abraham street, Adio Kayode road, Prince Adeyanju street, Baba Ope bakery road, Adewale/ Opatola road, Modina road and Palm Grove Hotel road.
