Ibadan is set to play host to a grand traditional wedding ceremony as Barrister Ifedolapo Sadiat Ologburo, daughter of prominent businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Babatunde Ologburo, prepares to tie the knot with her heartthrob, Sherriff Oladimeji Suleiman.

According to the families of Alhaji Babatunde and Alhaja Bolanle Ologburo, and Alhaji Bamidele and Alhaja Faosat Suleiman, the colourful traditional marriage ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan, by 12 noon.

The traditional wedding follows the couple’s civil registry ceremony held in Calgary, Canada, on Friday, May 2, 2025, which was graced by close family members and friends

The much-anticipated event is expected to attract an array of family members, friends, associates, socialites and well-wishers who will gather to witness the formal union of the two families in line with cherished Yoruba customs and traditions.

The bride, Barrister Ifedolapo Sadiat Ologburo, is a distinguished legal practitioner and a first-class law graduate of the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. She previously served as Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Legal Matters and is currently based in Canada, where she works as a top Executive at one of the country’s leading corporate firms.

Her groom, Sherriff Oladimeji Suleiman, fondly called Sherifdeen, is an accomplished IT expert also resident in Canada, making the union a blend of brilliance from the legal and technology worlds.

Beyond the exchange of marital vows, the traditional wedding promises to be a rich cultural spectacle, featuring formal family introductions, exchange of gifts, prayers, music, dance, and other symbolic rites that affirm the coming together of two families.

Guests are expected to be treated to a memorable celebration of love, culture, and elegance, as the Ologburo and Suleiman families unite to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of their children.
