Leader of a notorious gang, One Million Boys, Biola Ebila was allegedly shot dead in Olomi area of Ibadan on Sunday by Operation Burst.

Sources said the late Ebila and his deadly squad had tormented residents of Oke-Odo, Kudeti and other areas for years.

Another source said, “the notorious Leader of One Million boys,Biola Ebila, was today killed in a gun duel with men of Nigerian Army. He was allegedly responsible for various criminal activities and violence in Ibadan and environs for years.”

Recall GOALPOACHER NEWS reported Ebila was declared wanted by the Police in April following the death of a rival gang leader, Ekugbemi.

However,  Police Public Relation Officer, Oyo State Command, Fadeyi has confirmed the death of the One Million Boys leader in a phone interview on Fresh FM programme, “Cross Fire” on Sunday.

He said, “I can tell you that Ebila was killed today as confirmed by the DPO of Idi Aro Police station who said Ebila’s corpse was conveyed  to the station on Tricycle.”

Fadeyi added that when the corpse arrived at the station, members of the One Million Boys wanted to forment trouble and the corpse was taken to another destination.

He urged residents of the area to go about with their lawful businesses, noting that police tactical team is on ground to forestall any break down of law and order as a result of the death of Ebila.
