COVID-1:AKINYELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN INSPECTS SCHOOLS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE

Akinyele local government chairman Hon. Taoreed Adedigba Jimoh on Wednesday the 15th of July, 2020 was on inspection tour around various schools in his local government to observe level of compliance on Covid- 19 preventive guidelines.


The Chairman who went along with the caretaker committee members, HLGA and other principal officers of the local government appreciated the level of compliance by some schools visited with available washing materials, sanitizers and the usage of face masks by the pupils and students. He also used the opportunity to donate materials like washing buckets, face masks and sanitizers to all schools visited to complement their efforts.


The Chairman in His speech first congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo state Eng. Seyi Makinde on the Appeal court rulling on local government tussle as it is the people’s victory, thereafter, he appreciated the Governor’s initiative in laying down covid-19 protocols for schools in the state so as to prevent all teachers and pupils from contacting and spreading the virus.


The Head mistress of Islamic mission school, Mrs Bello Aminat appreciated the chairman for donating materials for the usage of the school as they were not having enough for the pupils, she prayed for the successful administration of the local and state government. Other headmasters of schools visited also appreciated the kind gesture of the Chairman.


Some schools visited in the local government area were, Apapa community primary school, Akingbile primary / secondary school, Islamic mission school 1, 2& 3, Olorisaoko community primary school and Laleye primary school all in Akinyele local government.
