    Dr. Fagbemi Champions Innovative Children’s Ward Project, Praises Gov. Makinde’s Commitment to Family Health

    … Vows to Complete Construction in Six Months

    The chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi has performed the official ground breaking ceremony and laying of foundation for the Children Ward at the State Hospital, Oyo town.


    The groundbreaking ceremony which was laid to build a health facility to provide a sustainable healthcare delivery for the children in Oyo town and its environ.

    Earlier in their separate welcome address, The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital Dr. A.O Adeniji and the Hospital Administrator, Mrs Abimbola Folorunsho said the project will be a laudable one in complementing the efforts of his excellency Engr Oluseyi Makinde in providing qualitative, accessible and affordable health care to both the mothers and the children in Oyo town and Oyo state in general.

    In his address, The chairman Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, Dr Akin Fagbemi said the project upon its completion will increase patronage from people of Oyo town and its environs into the hospital.

    The chairman appreciated his Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde for his unwavering support for the health family in the state.

    He called on the people of Oyo town to be part of development drive to the community by contributing to the successful completion of the Children’s Ward at the State Hospital, Oyo.

    He promised to do everything within his capacity to make sure the project completed in the next six months.

    Dr Fagbemi also applauded the staff of the hospital for putting all things together in making sure people enjoy basic health care services has promised during the electioneering campaign of his Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde to the good people of the state.

    In her remarks, The Permanent Secretary Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr Anifat Ibraheem urged staff of the hospital to be more professional while discharging their duty.

    She called on the people of the community to support the project for the benefit of all.

    Attendees were the Director of Medical Services Dr Femi Adesanya, OYSHMB, The Director of Admin and Supplies Barr. Muyiwa Olagoke, the Director of Hospital Administration Mr Stephen Olatunde, the Director of Nursing services Mrs Eyitayo Ayoola and the Director of Maintenance and Biomedical Engineering services Engr. Oluwaseun Ojelabi while on the part of people of Oyo are Hon. AbdulRaham Olorunpoto, Rev. (Dr) Kolade Oladele, Alhaji Dawud Igiogun the Asiwaju Musulumi of Oyo town, Chief Ogundipe Abiodun, Prince Lasisi Olukitibi and Prince Sulaiman Afolabi.
