The Director General, Oyo State Gaming and Lottery Board, Mr Olajide Boladuro has urged Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the virtue of sacrificial giving and absolute trust in Almighty Allah in finding lasting solutions to the myriads of challenges facing the nation.
Boladuro in a statement he personally signed, also urged the faithfuls to join faith with the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration in bringing the desired positive impact in the state.
According to him, the Eid-el-Kabir celebration does not only represent fun and festivities but also lessons that are meant to bring all closer to the Almighty Allah in absolute trust as the maker of all things.
While noting that the people should ensure that they show love to one another in sharing gifts especially with the needy and less privilege, the DG urged all to have the believe that all what seems not enough would soon be in abundance in whatever situation they might be going through.
He urged the people to be mindful of all safety protocols in view of the Covid-19 pandemic while also being security conscious of their immediate environment as they celebrate.
He called on the people of the state in particular and Nigerians in general to use the period to intensify prayers to Almighty Allah for the peace, progress, stability, prosperity and the safety of all in the state and the country at large.
He expressed confidence that just as Allah surprised Prophet Ibrahim on the Mount of Arafat by replacing his son Ismail with a ram, Almighty Allah will also use Governor Makinde to rid the state of all its challenges and take it back to it’s Pacesetter status in the nation at large.
