The management of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Kayode Ijadunola, has paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board (OYSHMB), chaired by Dr. Akin Fagbemi.
The visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities for internship training of Nursing students from the institution.
In his remarks, The Vice Chancellor Elizade University, Professor Kayode Ijadunola expressed pride in returning to Ibadan, where his medical journey began at Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital.
He commended Governor Engr Oluseyi Makinde’s efforts in providing qualitative, accessible, and affordable healthcare services under the Omi-Tuntun 2.0 initiative.
In his address, The Chairman, Oyo State Hospital Management Board (OYSHMB) Dr. Fagbemi appreciated the university’s visit and assured that students would receive excellent training.
He highlighted the governor’s achievements in the health sector, including the recruitment of health workers, increased internship slots, prompt salary payment, and the ongoing Free Medical Mission.
In her remarks, The Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Hospital Management Board (OYSHMB) Dr. Anifat Ibraheem, expressed the board’s openness to further collaboration, particularly in training students and retraining workers.
