The candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, has donated ₦1 million to support the Ibadan North-West Youth Summit.
Speaking at the event, Fagbemi described youths as critical stakeholders in the development of the constituency and promised to give them greater attention and opportunities if elected in the 2027 general election.
He said his commitment to the youth goes beyond campaign promises, stressing that young people must be actively involved in governance, empowerment programmes, skills development and other initiatives that can improve their livelihoods.
According to him, “Youths will be prioritised when I am elected. I believe strongly in the capacity of our young people, and I will ensure that their voices, ideas and aspirations receive the attention they deserve.”
Fagbemi further encouraged the youths of Ibadan North-West to remain united, focused and actively participate in the political process, assuring them that his representation would be centred on inclusive development and grassroots empowerment.
The ₦1 million donation, he said, was part of his contribution towards supporting the successful hosting of the youth summit and encouraging meaningful engagement among young people in the constituency.
He urged the youths to see the summit as an opportunity to discuss issues affecting them and develop practical solutions that can contribute to the growth of Ibadan North-West and the constituency at large.
