In response to the recent flooding that has affected several communities within Ibarapa Central Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adeleke Ayodele Olusola has taken proactive steps to assess the situation and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to swift intervention.

Hon. Adeleke personally toured some of the worst-hit areas to witness the extent of the damage, listen to the concerns of residents and demonstrate solidarity with families whose homes, roads, and farmlands have been impacted by the heavy downpour.

In his message made available by his personal assistant Azeez Sodiq during the inspection, Hon. Adeleke expressed deep empathy for those affected, describing the scenes as heartbreaking but also motivating. He emphasized that his administration would not relent in its duty to protect lives and property noting that collaboration with relevant state agencies and community stakeholders is already underway to provide immediate relief and implement sustainable preventive measures against future occurrences.

The Executive Chairman further assured the people that practical steps will be taken to improve drainage systems, clear waterways and address infrastructure challenges that contribute to flooding during the rainy season.

He urged residents to remain calm and united, promising that no one will be left behind in the recovery efforts. “I want our people to know that they are not alone in this trying time. Together, we will rebuild stronger and safer,” Hon. Adeleke said.

Residents appreciated the Chairman’s prompt response and pledged their support for all interventions that would help restore normalcy to the affected areas.

This proactive visit once again reinforces Hon. Adeleke Olusola’s steadfast commitment to the welfare of the good people of Ibarapa Central, demonstrating leadership that listens, acts, and cares deeply for every community member.
