The Oyo State lawmaker representing Ibadan North State Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, has once again demonstrated her deep sense of compassion, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to her people.
In honour of the late Alhaja Agboola Halimo, a devoted supporter and committed member of the PDP family, Hon. Comforter fulfilled her promise to stand by her loyal members by making a generous donation of a cow at the 8th day Fidau prayer held in remembrance of the deceased.
Despite being away on an official assignment in New York, USA, this thoughtful gesture underscores her strong connection to her constituency and her consistent dedication to those who have stood firmly with her over the years. The donation was warmly received by family members, associates, and well-wishers present at the prayer, who expressed profound appreciation for her kindness and support.
The event was graced by prominent party leaders and stakeholders. The Chairman, PDP Ibadan North Local Government, Alhaji Comrade S.A. Mustapha, led other local government executives to the event. Also in attendance were Rt. Hon. Akoro, Hon. Julian, the Ward 5 PDP Chairman, Okanlanwan Tunde, alongside ward executives and the ward leader.
Other notable attendees included Hon. Kasumu, Leader OBJ, members of the League of Imams, Hon. Comforter’s Apex Team, the Coordinators Group, and a host of others who came to pay their last respects.
Late Alhaja Agboola Halimo, until her passing, was widely known for her dedication, loyalty, and active role within the PDP party family at the ward, zonal, and local government levels. She was also a strong pillar within Hon. Comforter’s political structure in the constituency, contributing immensely to party activities and grassroots mobilization.
Her demise has left a significant void, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Hon. Comforter, through this act of generosity and remembrance, not only paid her last respects but also reaffirmed her reputation as a leader who values and honours loyalty.
She prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and for strength and comfort for the family she left behind.
