    Hon Taoreed Jimoh Dies, What You May Not Know About Him

    The immediate-past Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Taoreed Jimoh Adedigba has reportedly passed away.

    According to sources, Taoreed reportedly died on Thursday evening.

    The deceased was a former councilor in Akinyele local government.


    In 2019, Taoreed was appointed by Governor Seyi Makinde as the caretaker chairman of Akinyele main council.

    In 2021, he picked the ticket of the party as the chairmanship candidate and subsequently won the council election conducted by OYSIEC.

    In 2024, he was suspended by the 12 Councillors, the suspension was ratified by the Oyo State House of Assembly and the Vice-Chairman took over temporarily.

    Also, in 2024, he lost the bid to return for a second term as party leaders in Akinyele Local Government pitched with the incumbent Chairman, Hon Wole Akinleye who became the party s flag bearer in the 2024 local government election.
