    Ibarapa North APM Stakeholders Bury Differences, Rally Behind Makinde, Abimbola, Odidiomo, Ibarapakan, Akorede

    Stakeholders of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State has held a crucial stakeholders’ meeting aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and addressing issues that could affect its chances of victory in the 2027 general elections.

    The meeting, which took place in Igangan on Sunday, attracted party leaders, executives, political office holders and grassroots supporters from across the local government, provided a platform for members to openly discuss challenges facing the party and chart a common course for its growth and success. Participants emphasized the need for unity, reconciliation and collective efforts to ensure the party remains formidable ahead of future electoral contests.

    During the meeting, stakeholders and teeming party members were given the opportunity to voice their grievances and concerns. After extensive deliberations, party men and women resolved their differences and reached a common ground on strategies to move the party forward. Speakers at the gathering stressed that internal cohesion and discipline would be critical to achieving the party’s objectives in 2027.


    The stakeholders also unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the presidential candidate of the APM, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the governorship candidate in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Stanley Olajide popularly known as Odidiomo as well as all candidates of the party across Oyo State.

    They expressed confidence in the party’s leadership and affirmed their readiness to work assiduously to secure electoral victories for APM at all levels in the next general elections.

    The party members also declared their support for the reelection of Hon. Adepoju as the member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Hon. Lawal Adebare Akorede as the representative of Ibarapa North State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

    The gathering described both candidates as committed representatives who have remained accessible to the people and responsive to their needs.

    Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Adepoju appealed for continued unity among party members and apologised to anyone who might have felt offended by his actions or decisions. He noted that “there is no way a man knows how to walk without his head shaking,” explaining that mistakes are inevitable in leadership.

    He assured members who are yet to benefit from one opportunity or another to remain steadfast and continue working for the party, stressing that people can only lay claim to appointments and political opportunities when their party is in power.

    In attendance were Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, Hon. Lawal Adebare Akorede, Hon. Bisi Akande, Hon. Mrs. Funmilayo Orisadeyii, party executives, all political functionaries in Ibarapa North and numerous party faithful from across Ibarapa North.
