The House of Representatives candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement APM for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, has demonstrated tangible commitment to grassroots development with the donation of ₦5.3 million to accelerate critical community projects in Ward 4 of Ido Local Government Area.

The interventions, approved during separate engagements with community leaders and residents, reflect KSA’s development philosophy that sustainable progress is achieved when public leadership collaborates with responsible private citizens and community stakeholders.

Following an appeal by the Baale and chiefs of Adaba Community, KSA approved ₦1.6 million to support the ongoing drainage project in the area. The intervention is designed to mitigate flooding, address long-standing environmental challenges, and improve infrastructural resilience for residents and businesses.

In Noble Estate Community, the APM chieftain donated ₦1.1 million to support the construction of a security gate and the installation of solar-powered lighting facilities. The project is expected to enhance safety, deter criminal activity, and improve the quality of life for residents through reliable, sustainable illumination.

Further demonstrating responsiveness to socio-economic needs, KSA approved ₦2.6 million toward the repair of the community transformer in Agbaje-Ijokodo Community. The faulty transformer had disrupted power supply, negatively impacting businesses, households, and local economic activity. Residents described the intervention as timely and life-saving for small-scale enterprises.

Speaking through KSA Team representatives during the presentations, Engr. Adedeji stated that the donations align directly with the community development and security priorities of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in Oyo State.

“Sustainable development is not the responsibility of government alone,” KSA noted. “It is best achieved when government efforts are complemented by individuals, leaders, and communities who take ownership of projects that touch lives at the grassroots.”

He commended Governor Makinde for his proactive approach to security across Oyo State, particularly the administration’s swift response to recent security concerns, including the Oriire incident. KSA said the governor’s actions reflect a clear commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining peace for economic growth.

KSA urged community members to support initiatives that promote peace, unity, and collective progress. He stressed that security and infrastructure remain the two essential pillars for economic growth, social stability, and improved livelihoods.

He further encouraged community leaders, youths, and residents to utilize the 615 emergency response line whenever they observe security threats or criminal activities. “Timely information is critical to maintaining peace and safeguarding our communities. Security is everyone’s business,” he emphasized.

Leaders and residents who received the donations expressed deep appreciation for KSA’s gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that will accelerate ongoing projects, restore confidence in community leadership, and tangibly improve quality of life.

The Baale of Adaba Community, on behalf of the chiefs, noted that the drainage support would end years of flooding and property damage. Leaders of Noble Estate said the security gate and solar lighting would restore peace of mind, while traders in Agbaje-Ijokodo welcomed the transformer repair as “the difference between survival and collapse” for their businesses.

Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji KSA is the APM candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the upcoming elections. A professional engineer and grassroots development advocate, he has consistently championed community-driven projects focused on infrastructure, security, youth empowerment, and economic inclusion.
