IITA Officials Visit Hon Alawode, Seek Collaboration on Food Security at Grassroot
As part of their projects to enhance food safety for Africa, the officials from International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) paid courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode to discuss potential areas of collaboration, share insights and outline actionable steps that co-implement to enhance food safety practices at the grassroots.
In her speech, the project manager, Mrs Olumodupe Banwo appreciated the Chairman for the warmth reception her team received from him. She maintained her believe that the collaboration between her team and the Local Government will make significant strides in safeguarding the health and welfare of the community members.
In his response, Hon. Alawode welcomed the IITA OFFICIALS to the Local Government. He then promised his total support to the project with everything within his capacity to improve livelihood, enhance food and nutrition security for the good people of Ibadan South East Local Government.
In a related development, Hon. Alawode presented food combo pack donated by the Bank of Industry, to the Local Government Staff that are on level 3 to level 6.
The council boss extols the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the kind gesture of eradicating poverty in the state.
