JUST IN: ACCIDENT AT MOLETE ROUNDABOUT AS OYRTMA CAUTIONS COMMUTERS TO DRIVE CAREFULLY (PHOTOS)

 

The  attention of Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority has been drawn to a road traffic accident at Molete roundabout, Ibadan. The accident which according to eyewitnesses reports occurred in the early hours of today around 0730hours. It involves a loaded articulated Leyland DAF truck which reportedly suffered brake failure and had an head-on collision with a stationary object directly under the bridge.

In his reaction to the incident, our Executive Chairman Mogaji Akin Fagbemi PhD, has ordered immediate deployment of more men and officers as well as heavy duty towing trucks to the affected area.

He noted that efforts are being intensified to evacuate the truck at this hour pending further investigations into the incident.

Additionally, he implored motorists plying the route to drive slowly and carefully around the Molete roundabout, on and beneath the bridge at the location.

Thankfully, no human casualty was reported at the scene.
