Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde says one of the solutions to poor funding of education is to reverse the trend of poor budgetary allocation to education.
According to GOALPOACHER NEWS, Makinde stated this on Monday while commissioning St Paul Secondary School, Okutapemo in Iseyin, one of the model schools constructed by his administration.
He noted that one of the things he has done differently is to spread the model schools across all the zones in the state to enable students have access quality education.
As at the time of filing this report, Governor Makinde had flagged-off the reconstruction of the 45.3km Saki, Ogboro to Igboho road for N8.7 billion which is expected to be completed in 18 months. Another project commissioned by the Governor is reconstructed headquarters of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).
Makinde equally launched the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness Project (YEAP) at the OYSADA headquarters stadium, Saki.
