The Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, was spotted around the venue where chieftains and leaders of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) met on Friday alongside leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Idriss, who answered the phone call made to the 2019 gubernatorial candidate of ZLP, Barrister Sarafadeen Alli by GOALPOACHER NEWS correspondent, he denied reports doing the round that Alli was perfecting plans to defect to the APC.
Idris, however, confirmed to GOALPOACHER NEWS correspondent that Wasiu Olatunbosun was spotted at Premier Hotel, where ZLP leaders were having their meeting.
Speaking further, he noted that Wasiu didn’t attend their meeting but was at the venue for a different purpose.
While addressing the Governor’s Office Correspondent on the matter, Wasiu Olatunbosun denied meeting with the leadership of the ZLP.
He stressed that Senator Monsurat Summonu remains his leader, noting that ZLP and Sarafadeen in particular opposed his nomination as a commissioner. He said, ZLP nominated another candidate from the Ibadan North West where he hailed.
He said, Governor Makinde stood his ground for him by rejecting ZLP candidate for his nomination to scale through. Olatunbosun said he will never betray his benefactor regardless of what happens to him. He added that he remains committed to the success of Makinde led administration.
He noted that he was invited feature on a radio station programme located at Premier Hotel.
