As part of effort to bring government closer to the people, the Chairman of Ogooluwa Local Government, Hon. Seun Ojo Adesoye, joined Hon. Olufemi Oladokun of ONIRETI foundation, to commission motorized boreholes and street lights projects in Ogbomoso South, Ogbomoso North and Oriire Local Governments.

Speaking at the event, Adesoye stated that the development will bring relief to inhabitants of the areas, adding that more will be done where needed in the local government.

He added that the unavailability of drinkable water, which has been the major challenge those areas face, will now become a thing of the past.

Adesoye further enjoined the beneficiaries of the projects to remember all the good works, which his administration is embarking on and reciprocate in due time.

He said: “What is happening here today is another achievement for us. We understand the challenges you face and, as an administrator who is after your well-being, we cannot shy away from acknowledging them and do the needful.

“All of these will bring a sort of relief to our people and this is what we will continue to do to show them that the government of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde cares about them.

“Therefore, let me add that, based on what we have done, I want to believe one good turn deserves another. So, I hope when we come back to you for support, you will be willing to give us without looking back.”

Similarly, the Council Boss, who earlier met with leaders and residents of Ladanu community, promised to install a motorized borehole in the village, and assured that the project will be embarked upon soon and completed.

Representatives of the different LGAs where the projects were carried out, in their seperate addresses, commended the Chairman for his efforts, saying that the major challenge, which is unavailability of water, has been addressed.

Responding, the Chairman apologized for the seeking neglect, saying that “those who should inform us of such condition failed to do the needful.”

He, however, promised that his administration will not rest on its oars to deliver on his promise.
