    Oluyole LG Chairman Hosts Oyo Comptroller of Immigration, Security Stakeholders Over Security Matters

    As part of ongoing strategic measures to bolster security measures geared towards addressing safety concerns, the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, yesterday played host to the 35th Comptroller of Immigration, Oyo State Command, Adekunle Jimoh.

    The meeting which held in the office of the chairman at the Council Secretariar, Idi-Ayunre was centered on collaborative efforts to enhance local security and deepening of synergy among security stakeholders.

    Olatunji, emphasized the importance of a coordinated approach between local government authorities and immigration services and other security agencies to combat security challenges and ensure the safety of residents.

    Speaking on his administration’s accomplishment on improved security since assumption of office, Olatunji said proactive measures and strategic approach by the LG security Council have yielded positive results through reduction in crime rates.

    He said there has not been a single record of kidnapping or banditry that were previously rampant in the area especially alongside the border axis along Ijebu Ode road between Oyo and Ogun states.

    Comptroller Jimoh in his earlier remarks, highlighted the commitment of the Immigration Service to support local initiatives aimed at improving security and preventing illegal activities.

    He stressed the need for deepening interagency collaboration in the fight against crime and criminality in the area.

    He reassured the Council chairman of his command’s readiness to provide necessary resources and assistance to address security issues in Oluyole LG effectively.

    Representatives of other security agencies present in their separate remarks agreed on the need for regular communication and joint operations to a safer environment in Oluyole LG.

    They also discussed potential community outreach programs to educate residents on security awareness and the role of immigration enforcement.

    At the end of the meeting, the stakeholders arrived at a resolution with a mutual pledge to continue working together towards a secure and stable Oluyole Local Government.

    Present at the event were the HLGA Alhaja Naibi, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Hon. Azeez Babalola, Chairman CDC, Oluyole Local Government, Alhaji Gbolagade and religious leaders.

    Others in the entourage of the Oyo state Comptroller of Immigration are top officials of the agency.
