Oyo Govt Charges Newly Appointed Officers to be dedicated to their duty

Oyo State Government, through the Secretary to the State Government Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun has charged the newly recruited Civil Servants in the State to exhibit excellent performance and exceed the basic expectations of the government by discharging their duties to the best of their abilities.

Olubamiwo stated this during an induction programme for the newly-appointed and converted officers in Oyo State civil and public service, held at Ibadan Business School, Bodija Ibadan.

The Secretary to the State Government enjoined officers to blend with the management team wherever they find themselves, be resilient and hard working.

In her remark, the State Head of Service, Mrs Ololade Agboola, commended the present administration in the State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, as she said civil servants in the State were proud to say that they have a better and stable life in the service of Oyo State.

Agboola added that the 21st century civil servants are expected to be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant and be conversant with civil service rules and regulations, while being devoted and committed to their duties.

Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Barrister, Olayinka Esan alongside the Chairman Institute of Chartered accountant (ICAN), Association of Nigeria Chartered Accountant (ANAN), Chartered Institute of Personel Management (CIPM), and other contributors, in their separate remarks urged the newly appointed Officers to abide with the oath of secrecy in discharging their duties.

Present at the event were the Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Abiodun Aderibigbe, the State’s Accountant-General, Alhaji Gafar Bello, Chairman, Chairman, Oyo State branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Barrister Olayinka Esan, Chairman, Ibadan District Society of (ICAN), Mr. Abiodun Adedeji, Chairman (ANAN) Oyo State, Professor Awobode and Chairman CIPM, Oyo State, Mr. Oluwasheun Olayanju.
