The Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, Ademola Omotoso, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their installation as Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland and Yeye Asoludero of Ibarapaland respectively.
In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, Omotoso described the conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy titles as a well deserved recognition of the contributions of the governor and his wife to the development of Oyo State and the welfare of its people.
The titles were conferred on Governor Makinde and Mrs. Makinde by the Ibarapa Traditional Council during a ceremony held at the palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adeagbola.
Omotoso said the honour was a testament to the confidence and respect Governor Makinde had earned among traditional institutions and communities across the state.
“I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and our First Lady, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their well deserved installation as Aare Asoludero and Yeye Asoludero of Ibarapaland,” Omotoso said.
“These distinguished titles are a reflection of the honour and respect they have earned through their service to the people and their commitment to the development of Oyo State,” he added.
The Housing Corporation chairman said the recognition was particularly significant because it came from the traditional institution of Ibarapaland, noting that it further strengthened the relationship between the state government and the people of the area.
“The conferment of these titles by the Ibarapa Traditional Council is a great honour not only to Their Excellencies but also to the entire people of Oyo State. It demonstrates the strong bond between the government and our traditional institutions,” Omotoso said.
He commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to infrastructure development and policies aimed at improving the lives of residents across the state.
“Governor Makinde’s administration has continued to demonstrate commitment to development, infrastructure and the wellbeing of our people. The installation as Aare Asoludero is therefore a fitting recognition of a leader whose efforts have continued to contribute to the growth and progress of Oyo State,” he said.
Omotoso also acknowledged the contributions of the First Lady to the administration, particularly her support for initiatives focused on women, children and families.
“Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde has also played an important role in supporting the administration and promoting initiatives that touch the lives of women, children and families. Her installation as Yeye Asoludero of Ibarapaland is a fitting recognition of her contributions and support,” he added.
The chairman urged the governor and his wife to regard the chieftaincy titles as an additional responsibility to continue serving the people and promoting peace, unity and development across Oyo State.
He also congratulated the Ibarapa Traditional Council and the Eleruwa of Eruwa for finding Governor Makinde and his wife worthy of the distinguished honours, while wishing the couple continued wisdom, strength and success in their service to the people of the state.
