Oyo SDGs Takes Developmental Needs Assessment to Ibadan North- West, Ido


The Oyo State Government, through the office of Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs) programme, has embarked on needs assessment to enable Oyo State Government Oyo State know the focus area.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on SDGs, Hon Kunle Yusuff MON, was able to explain the concept and principles of SDGs on Projects and programmes to everyone, he mentioned the area of focus as well, Health Centre, Primary Schools, Toilets, Boreholes and Empowerment Programmes.

The Director of Administration in SDGs office Mr. Fijabi replied to all the questions from the audiences that any Projects presented that is not within the Guidelines of SDGs will be presented to Governor for approval.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Caretaker Chairman Ido Local Government Barr. Fasola and Caretaker Chairman Omi-Apata LCDA, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, PDP Chairman Ido Local Government, Representatives of CDC, Market Women, Representatives of Disabilities.

While the Representatives of the Farmers’ association appreciated the administration of Seyi Makinde, he also mentioned that he has not for once attended an Interactive and session of SDGs like this in Ido Local Government.

In Ibadan North- West, the major requests were building of Primary Schools, toilets, boreholes and basic healthcare centres. The deliberation showed that Ibadan North West People actually know what they want from Oyo State Government.

Some of the persons that attended are:
Alh. Lukman Adesina PDP Local Chairman, Hon. Akeem Obadara House of Assembly Member, Alh. Labule Isola- SA Constituency to the Governor, both Caretaker Chairmen, Secretaries, members and notable leaders like Col. Quardri(Rtd), Alh. Gani Dosu, PDP Local Govt Woman Leader, Alh. Laide Lanihun and many others.

They all used the opportunity to pray for the repose of the soul of Governor’s mother.
