    PDP Leaders in Ibarapa Pass Vote of Confidence in Makinde, Ibarapakan

    In a formidable move to ensure the continued success of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has held a stakeholders’ meeting in the federal constituency.

    The stakeholders’ meeting held at Hon. Adepoju’s residence in Igboora, Ibarapa Central Local Government Area, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, had in attendance political functionaries and party leaders from Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas of Oyo State.


    During the meeting, PDP leaders in the federal constituency expressed their unalloyed loyalty to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde. The leaders from all the 20 political wards in the two local government areas commended the governor for demonstrating leadership at all times, especially during this critical period in Nigeria’s democracy, without being intimidated by the powers that be.

    In their separate remarks, the leaders applauded Hon. Adepoju for his developmental strides, which according to them, have put the federal constituency on the path of unprecedented progress and for his efforts in keeping the party united. They also commended Hon. Peter Ojedokun, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North State Constituency, and the two local government Chairmen in the federal constituency, Hon. Sola Adeleke and Hon. (Alh.) Lateef Lawal Adebare.

    The party stakeholders discussed several pertinent issues, including a plea to Governor Makinde to complete the Ido-Eruwa road to alleviate the suffering of the Ibarapa people. They also urged Governor Makinde to convene a stakeholders’ meeting urgently to discuss pending party issues.

    All the party leaders in attendance unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Governor Makinde and Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju for their great leadership style in keeping the party together.

    Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the party for their support, Hon. Adepoju pledged to continue to uphold the party’s rules and regulations while prioritising the interests and needs of his constituents. In a remarkable display of appreciation, the federal lawmaker generously donated a substantial amount to the party leadership in both Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, reiterating his commitment to the party’s unity and progress.

    In attendance were: Hon. (Dr.) Adebayo Adepoju, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Ojedokun, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North State Constituency,  Hon. Monsuru Oduola, Special Adviser to Gov. Makinde on Constituency Matters, Hon. Sola Adeleke, the Executive Chairman, Ibarapa Central, Hon. (Alh.) Lateef Lawal Adebare, the Executive Chairman, Ibarapa North, Hon. Rasheed Babarinde, the Executive Vice Chairman, Ibarapa Central, Hon. Bisi Akande, the Executive Vice Chairman, Ibarapa North, Hon. Gbade Akinlolu, PDP Chairman in Ibarapa Central, Hon. Olayiwola Ojoogun, PDP  Chairman in Ibarapa North, Hon. Funmilayo Orisadeyi, former Oyo State House of Assembly member for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North State Constituency, Hon. Remi Ayoade, Elder Kolawole Olanrele (Greatmother), all bloc leaders in the constituency, Hon. Sola Fakorede, Alhaji Sarafa Babarinde, and members of the local executive committees for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, as well as all ward chairmen and party leaders from both local governments.
