Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has said that an active sex life contributes to a woman’s radiant appearance, while opening up about life as a single mother, becoming a grandmother and why she has become less outspoken on controversial issues.
The actress made the remarks during a Monday appearance on The Morayo Show, where she spoke candidly about her personal life, family and career.
Speaking on what she believes contributes to women’s youthful appearance and confidence, Ojo said, “We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.
“I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough.”
Beyond her remarks on relationships, the actress reflected on her journey as a single mother, saying raising her children and watching them succeed remains one of her greatest achievements.
According to her, her accomplishments over the years have given her a deep sense of fulfilment and happiness.
“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled,” she said.
Ojo also revealed that becoming a grandmother has changed her perspective, especially when it comes to engaging in public disputes and responding to criticism.
She explained that she now chooses her battles carefully to avoid exposing her daughter and her new family to unnecessary controversy.
“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will,” she said.
The actress further disclosed that she travelled to Canada to perform the traditional omugwo for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, following the birth of her grandson.
PUNCH Online had earlier reported that Ojo explained why she ensured her ex-husband played a prominent role during Priscilla’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in 2025.
According to the actress, she deliberately put aside her personal differences with her former husband because she did not want their separation to affect their daughter, insisting that whatever existed between them should not be transferred to their children.
Priscilla and Juma Jux welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025 after announcing their pregnancy earlier that year. The couple’s wedding ceremonies, held across Nigeria and Tanzania, attracted widespread attention and were among the biggest celebrity events of 2025. To
