SHERIFF ADEOJO DISTRIBUTES 2ND BATCH OF CHAIRS, DESKS TO SCHOOLS IN OMI-APATA LCDA

In a bid to complement the efforts of Oyo State government under the leadership of the Executive Governor of Oyo state, His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde to restore the lost glory of education, the Caretaker Chairman of Omi-Apata Local Council Development Area Hon Sheriff Adeojo has distributed 2nd batch of chairs and desks to primary schools within the council jurisdiction.

While delivering his welcome address during the programme, Hon Sheriff Adeojo reiterated the commitment of his administration to provide conducive teaching and learning environment for primary schools in Omi-Apata LCDA.

He further explained that all primary schools in the council area will be supplied with chairs and desks in batches.

The schools that benefitted from the 2nd batch are St John’s Pry Sch Aba Oke, St James Pry Sch Ogundele Alaho, Oganla Pry Sch Oganla, Community Pry Sch Bako, Baptist Pry Sch Atere , and St Marks Pry Sch Bode Igbo.

In their goodwill messages, Olomi of Omi-Adio Oba Mukaila Adebayo, some PDP leaders Mallam Muili Yusuff, Alhaji Adeniran Adeniyi and Hon Isiaka Adeola former Honourable member representing Ido Local Government in the Oyo State House of Assembly commended the council chairman for all his laudable initiatives since his assumption of office.

While responding on behalf of the benefitting schools Mrs Rachael Funmilayo Akinola Headmistress St James Pry Sch Ogundele Alaho and Mrs Funmilola Omidiji Headmistress St John’s Pry Sch Aba Oke expressed gratitude to Hon Sheriff Adeojo for considering their schools and pledged their support and cooperation to the present administration in Oyo State and Omi-Apata LCDA.

Among dignitaries that graced the occasion include Secretary to the LG Hon Olumuyiwa Busari, caretaker members, party leaders, Acting Head of Local Government Administration Omi-Apata LCDA Mr Amusat Busari, Heads of Departments and a host of others.

The council chairman accompanied by all party leaders and management team later conducted an inspection visit to the on going construction of Abanla pedestrian bridge along Omi-Adio road.
