The delegation was led by Hon. Lawal Rahamon Adewale, alongside other prominent members, including Alh. Wasiu Omonije, Hon. Kunmi Osuntoki Gas, Hon. Okekunle Adebayo and Hon. Bimbo Osuntoki.

The new members were received by the APC Akinyele Local Government Chairman, Pastor Femi Adigun; the Oyo State APC Campaign Director-General, Hon. Yemi Aderibigbe; Hon. Olu Akintola; Alh. Alimi Isiaka; Alh. Ambali Abiola; and the APC Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Joshua Oyebanji.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Team Arapaja Akinyele Coordinator, Hon. Lawal Rahamon Adewale, declared the group’s support for the APC and commended Ambassador Arapaja for his political leadership and ongoing efforts to mobilise members and stakeholders across Oyo State.

He reaffirmed the group’s readiness to work with other party leaders and faithful to strengthen the APC’s presence in Akinyele and contribute to the campaign efforts of the party’s candidates across the constituency.

Adewale noted that the Akinyele chapter was prepared to align with the broader Team Arapaja movement across the state in building a coordinated political structure and supporting the party’s candidates at all levels.

The development further reflects Team Arapaja’s ongoing political realignment, with members in different local government areas formalising their participation in the APC.

In his remarks, the Oyo State APC Campaign Director-General, Hon. Yemi Aderibigbe, charged the new members to work harmoniously with existing party leaders and members, stressing the importance of unity, cooperation and collective responsibility.

He assured them of an inclusive party environment where all members would have the opportunity to participate in party activities and contribute to its growth. Aderibigbe also commended Ambassador Arapaja for his mobilisation efforts and for bringing members of his political structure into the APC.

Similarly, the APC Akinyele Local Government Chairman, Pastor Femi Adigun, warmly welcomed the defectors and expressed the party’s readiness to accommodate them as valued members of the APC family.

He encouraged the new members to embrace the party’s principles, work closely with existing stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures across the local government.

The latest development adds Akinyele to the growing list of local government areas where members of Team Arapaja have declared their participation in the APC, underscoring the group’s ongoing efforts to build a coordinated political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.

With the Akinyele chapter now formally joining the APC, the group has reiterated its commitment to working with party stakeholders to promote unity, strengthen grassroots engagement and support the party’s candidates across the constituency.
