We Won’t Compromise Inter-state Lockdown As OYTMA Impounds 67 Trucks,Others–Fagbemi
Oyo state government has impounded 67 articulated vehicles that conveyed non-essential goods and travelers from the Northern part of the country into the State.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by the Chairman, Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority, OYRTMA, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi at the agency Headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan.
Fagbemi hinted that the agency intercepted the 67 trucks based on intelligent reports that some people are been smuggled into the state under the pretense of trading.
Dr. Fagbemi disclosed that six fake OYRTMA officers using the name of the agency to dupe people were apprehended and thereafter handed over to the police for further investigations.
Fagbemi, however, warned those flouting the inter-state lockdown directive to desist or face sanctions.
