In a heartwarming display of commitment to education and social development, a popular philantrpist in Ibadanland, Otunba Olusina John Ogunsola has taken the initiative to pay the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) fees for the needy students across the ten wards in Oluyole Federal Constituency.
Otunba Ogunsola, a PDP chieftain and an former House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the party in 2023, said this noble gesture was poised to alleviate the financial burden on underprivileged families and open doors of opportunity for countless young minds.
Otunba Ogunsola a politician of note, cherishes the future of the children, whose interest in the youths and youths development cannot be quantified.
He did this to support all students in financial needs, whose parents are incapacitated to buy WAEC forms for them.
His belief is that if this was not done, and if noon assists these glorious youths whose parents are financially incapacitated, we as the society and the country at large the opportunity of showcasing the talents whose prowess will push the society and the country to compete with other countries in the global community.
That is not alone, he believes that during this hard times in the country, we need to put hopes in the people that Nigeria will be great one day and they are not left out in the government’s plans.
This scholarship for our students will reignites their hopes in the governments and the country and their emotions will be positively directed towards imparting their immediate environment, Otunba Olusina Ogunsola said.
He said that the sustainable growths and developments which has happened to Nigeria since 1999 were birthed by PDP and he wants the upcoming ones to know the difference between parties in the country. His assertion is that PDP is the only party which cares for the people and which manifestos are to put smile and happiness on the faces and in the lives of the citizens.
He promised to embark on more sponsorship programmes towards youths empowerment and developments by giving more financial assistance for NECO.
The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has no equal in terms of citizens welfare and accountability and he believes we must all support him in our own little ways.
Students were picked from Pegba Grammar School, Ayegun Community Grammar School, Odo Obokun Grammar School, Odo Ona Kekere, Prospect High School Abanla 2.
Others include, Prospect High School, Abanla, Abbey School Ward 2, Methodist High School, Ward 5, Library Academy School, Ward 2.
