LG Polls: What Makes Ibadan North Different From Others – PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Olufade
The Ibadan North PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, boasted during an interview at IBR 92.5FM Akobo Ibadan with the host, Aanuoluwapo Omorinde, that what distinguishes Oyo State as the pacesetter is primarily located in Ibadan North Local Government.
Responding to Omorinde’s inquiry about why Ibadan North Local Government remains unchanged, Olufade asserted that people need to change their approach and cease politicizing every aspect.
He emphasized that Ibadan North has been continuously developing and listed key establishments such as the University of Ibadan, University Teaching Hospital, Oyo State Secretariat, Oyo State Government House, among others, as evidence.
Olufade also highlighted the influx of investors and land estate developers in Ibadan North.
Regarding Governor Seyi Makinde’s stance on local government administration, Olufade affirmed the governor’s belief in it and praised the infrastructural development across various local governments under Makinde’s leadership.
When questioned about the credibility of the upcoming local government elections, considering Governor Makinde’s confident proclamation of PDP’s victory, Olufade assured that the elections would be credible, attributing the governor’s statement to a display of confidence and widespread support for the PDP.
Addressing road infrastructure, Olufade acknowledged that infrastructural development is a gradual process and pledged to address various road issues in Ibadan North, including Agbowo Road and Bodija Road.
Lastly, when asked about the low return rate of incumbent councilors, Olufade speculated that it could be due to party policies rather than performance.
He stressed the importance of unity within the party and encouraged the public to turn out in large numbers to vote for the PDP in the forthcoming local government election on April 27th.
Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade was accompanied by his vice, Akeem Ayoade, Hon. Kazeem Oshoniyi, former caretaker chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon. Joshua Oladapo, Hon. Abiodun Agboluaje, as well as Mighty, Eye, and several others.
