A business mogul, Hon Taiwo Lekan Salami has mourned the demise of the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon Olaide Akinremi Jagaban who died on Tuesday.
Hon Taiwo Salami who was House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2023 described the late Akinremi as a fine politician, who contributed to the growth and development of Ibadan North Federal Constituency through his policies and programmes.
In a condolence message issued by Hon Salami on Friday, said his death was a painful loss to him as his friend and brother.
He said, “Hon Akinremi’s death is a painful loss to Ibadan North. Here was a man, who dedicated himself to the service of his people.
Thou both were in different political parties, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami was supportive of the late Hon Akintemi’s ideals whenever called upon for advice as an Ibadan indigene brother, the way they saw themselves and related.
“He was always at the forefront of delivering the dividends of democracy to the electorate.
“I pray to Allah to grant the repose of his soul and the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.”
