The Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Oluokun Peter Olusola, has officially commissioned the newly built Jabata Primary Health Center.

The event was attended by key officials, including Hon. Ajala Yusuf, the leader of the House; Hon Nurudeen Adekola, Secretary to the Chairman; Hon Kofoworola Musa, Chief of Staff; Hon Mumini Eburuuke, Assistant Secretary; and other councillors and supervisors.

The health center was developed through a collaboration between the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency and the Oyo East Local Government, aimed at improving healthcare access for residents.

During the ceremony, HLGA Alhaji Busari commended the project committee for their hard work and emphasized the crucial role of Hon Oluokun in the project’s completion.

Community leaders, including the Baale of Jabata and the chief Imam, expressed their gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for his vision in promoting grassroots development.

They thanked Hon Oluokun for his support throughout the project and requested more government resources, particularly in staffing for the new health center.

In his speech, Hon. Oluokun stated, “Today marks a significant milestone for our community as we officially open the Jabata Primary Health Center. This facility will serve as a cornerstone for improved healthcare access for all residents.”

He acknowledged Governor Makinde’s leadership, saying, “I want to express my deepest gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering support and vision for grassroots development. His leadership inspires us to strive for better services for our people.”

He commended the efforts of everyone involved in the project, noting, “I appreciate the hard work of everyone involved in this project. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together for the common good of our community.”

Hon. Oluokun also thanked the people of Jabata for their understanding, encouraging them to take full advantage of the health center and stating, “Ensuring that it is adequately staffed and equipped is our next priority, and I will advocate for that.”

In closing, he emphasised the significance of the new facility, declaring, “This health center is not just a building; it represents our commitment to the health and well-being of our community. We will continue to seek out opportunities for growth and improvement.”

After the commissioning, Hon. Oluokun inspected the facility to ensure it was ready for use by the community.
