Ibarapakan Free Holiday Lessons Resume, Expand Scope to Enhance Students’ Knowledge
Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, popularly known as Ibarapakan, has approved the resumption of his free holiday lessons for both private and public senior secondary school students in the constituency.
The first phase of the initiative of the federal lawmaker commenced in August last year, with the service of experienced and qualified teachers in the two local government areas that make up the constituency.
The free holiday lessons aim to keep students engaged, enhance the academic performance of secondary school students by complementing the efforts of the Oyo state government and prevent them from roaming the streets during the long holiday break.
Apart from the subjects in the students curriculum, they will also be taken on general lectures such as Moral, Academic and Career Development, Technology/Innovation and Drug Abuse. The first phase of the initiative only featured Leadership and Governance, but this latest edition expands the scope, a pragmatic approach to ensure the students are better trained.
The centres for the free holiday lessons across the constituency are as follows:
1. Methodist Grammar School, Igboora.
2. Baptist Primary School, Idere.
3. Ayete Grammar School, Ayete.
4. Maku Grammar School, Tapa.
5. Baptist Basic School 1, Oke-Ola, Igangan.
While congratulating the students, their teachers and parents on their third-term break, the lawmaker encouraged the students to take advantage of the free holiday lessons to learn from different teachers. He also wished them the very best in their quest for knowledge.
