Makinde Pledges Support For Community Police Officers For Effective Security System
Governor Seyi Makinde has pledged his support for the smooth take off of the community policing programme initiated by the inspector general of police.

Governor Seyi Makinde was at the training ground of the newly recruited community police officers at their training camp Eleyele Ibadan to boost the morale of the intending officers.
Governor Seyi Makinde in his address told the newly recruited community police officers that he will give his full support for the smooth commencement of the community policing in Oyo state.
The Governor who is the Chief Security officer of the state said the government under his watch will provide necessary support to the new community police officers for effective security system especially at the grassroot.
Governor Seyi Makinde also promised to check the new community police officers at their respective local government to discuss about the benefits of community policing.
According to Inspector General of Police Muhammed Adamu Community Policing would take care of crimes at the grassroots where people could easily identify those engaged in criminal activities.
At least 50 volunteers will be recruited from each of the 33 local government Areas in Oyo state.
